Brown Butter Parmesan Asparagus with Walnuts
Cooking with Tupperware making Brown Butter Parmesan Asparagus with Walnuts in the Chef Series II skillet and the Microwave Smart Multi-cooker
Ingredients
- 1 bunch asparagus ends trimmed 3 Tbsp. unsalted butter, about 3/4 pound
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 1/2 tsp chopped fresh thyme leaves
- ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ tsp fresh ground black pepper
- Kosher salt, as needed
- Lemon juice optional
Instructions
- Fill Base of Smart Multi-Cooker with 13⁄4-cup water to the max fill line for steam. Place Large Shielded Colander in Base.
- Place asparagus in Large Shielded Colander.
- Cover with the Shielded Cover and microwave on high power 12–14 minutes.
- Meanwhile, melt the butter in a Chef Series II skillet over medium heat. Cook until the foam has subsided and the butter turns a deep golden brown, about 4 minutes. (Take care that it doesn't burn.)
- Stir in the nuts and cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- Stir in the garlic and thyme and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Remove from heat and whisk in the cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Spoon nut mixture over warm asparagus and serve at once.
